Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Pulse Panel application (“App”) and related services (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by AMPD Research Ltd. (“Company,” “we,” “our”).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

3. Description of Service

Pulse Panel is a market research panel that collects anonymized data about streaming service usage and app engagement. Panelists voluntarily share data and receive rewards for their participation.

The Service includes:

  • A mobile application for data collection and panel management
  • A local VPN-based network meter for measuring streaming usage
  • Optional data donation of streaming watch history
  • A rewards program for active panelists

4. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

Each person may maintain only one account. Duplicate or fraudulent accounts will be terminated and any accrued rewards forfeited.

5. Data Collection and Privacy

Data collection practices are governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described therein.

All data collection features (VPN metering, app usage tracking, data donation) require your explicit opt-in consent and can be disabled at any time.

6. Rewards

Panelists earn rewards based on their level of participation and data contribution. Reward amounts, methods, and eligibility criteria are determined by us and may change at any time with prior notice.

  • Rewards are non-transferable and have no cash value until redeemed
  • Minimum balance thresholds may apply before redemption is available
  • Fraudulent activity, including use of automated tools or virtual devices, will result in forfeiture of rewards and account termination
  • We reserve the right to adjust or revoke rewards in cases of data manipulation or Terms violations

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
  • Create multiple accounts or use automated systems to inflate participation
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Misrepresent your identity, demographics, or device information

8. VPN Service

The VPN feature in Pulse Panel is used exclusively for local traffic metering. It does not provide anonymity, circumvent geo-restrictions, or route your traffic through external servers. The VPN is a measurement tool, not a privacy or security VPN service.

You acknowledge that the VPN permission is required for the network metering functionality and that you may revoke this permission at any time through your device settings.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including the App, its design, features, and content, is owned by AMPD Research Ltd. and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written permission.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the App or via our account deletion page. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or for any other reason with notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Any pending rewards below the minimum redemption threshold will be forfeited. Data deletion upon account termination is handled per our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AMPD Research Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or device damage.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
